About
I’m Jessie. I was born and raised in Fairbanks and North Pole. I’ve hated it. I’ve loved it. I’ve been ambivalent about the area. I have a degree in 2D Animation and a degree in History. I have a strong interest in architecture, public art, and I enjoy…(I don’t know if there is a name for it)...creating business plans/floor plans/minute details for businesses that will probably never exist. It might be a little weird, but it’s just something I’ve always enjoyed doing in my spare time. I think it all started with the game Clue and old mystery movies with secret passageways in houses. I liked to draw up my own house plans with secret rooms and passageways.
Fairbanks Architecture & Public Art was a nugget in my brain for a while. I finally just started to get around to it. My goal is to take some good photos and provide a little background on the piece of art or architecture. Perhaps I can bring some awareness to locals and stop someone from simply building another “box” building.
