I'm Back! New Stained Glass Workshops & Summer Savings

Hello Friends,

After two back-to-back surgeries on my dominant arm, I am thrilled to announce that I will officially be returning to Aurora Artistries events next week!
The last several weeks have been a lesson in patience, healing, and gratitude. Between a shoulder surgery and a wrist surgery on the same arm, I was forced to step away from doing what I love most—creating art and spending time with all of you. I cannot thank you enough for your support, encouragement, and understanding during my recovery.

To celebrate my return, we're kicking off an exciting new chapter at Aurora Artistries with the launch of our beginner-friendly stained glass workshops! This includes the PAWsitively Stained Glass workshop featuring YOUR PET! Whether you've always wanted to try stained glass or you're looking for a creative new hobby, these classes are designed to help you create something beautiful while learning a new skill in a fun, welcoming environment.

Wrist surgery was a success!

I am incredibly relieved to say this recovery from anesthesia has been much easier than the shoulder surgery. Thank you to everyone who has checked in, offered help, sent prayers, and supported my family and business while I've been healing.

The best part? I'll be coming back to work and painting with all of you NEXT WEEK!

Lucky for all of you, the brace is going to force me to slow down a bit, which means I'll finally be teaching at a pace everyone can keep up with. 🤣 No speed-painting, no dramatic wrist flicks, and no fancy brush flourishes for a while.

I'll also have my trusty assistant, Jameson, tagging along to help with setup, cleanup, refilling water cups, restocking paint, and all the little things that keep events running smoothly. As many of you already know, he works primarily for his favorite food from Silver Gulch Brewing & Bottling Co. and the occasional tip. 😂

He's also absolutely THRILLED to be coming back. Probably more than I am! Getting to help at paint nights has always been one of his favorite things, and he's been asking when he could return.

Thank you all again for your patience and support during this recovery. I have missed painting with you, and I can't wait to see everyone next week!

Sometimes the ideas just won't let you sleep.

I'm excited to share the newest painting in my Alaskan Icons series!

This 20x24" bumblebee and fireweed piece took all day to complete, but I love how vibrant and whimsical it turned out.

As many of you know, I'm recovering from shoulder surgery, so every painting feels like a little victory right now. Thank you for continuing to support Aurora Artistries while I heal.
