Meet Julia Wedge Schoenwandt, Founder + Artistic Director of MuVment Studio. ✨

With more than 30 years of experience in dance education, choreography, directing, producing, and curriculum development, Julia is the heart behind so much of what MuVment is becoming.

As the creator of the Power Fusion Method of Dance Education, Julia brings together artistry, athleticism, kinesiology, biomechanics, conditioning, and injury prevention to create an approach to dance education that sees dancers as both artists and athletes.

But her vision goes far beyond technique.

Julia created MuVment to be a place where dancers can grow, artists can create, educators can teach, productions can come to life, and people of different ages, bodies, backgrounds, abilities, and experience levels can find a place where they belong.

She’s an educator. A choreographer. A director. A producer. A curriculum developer. A mom. A lifelong student. And someone who can look at an empty room and see everything it could become.

MuVment is only the beginning. 🩵

MuVment Studio is planning something SCARY this October… and we’re gauging interest for VOLUNTEER SCARE ACTORS to help bring our haunted house to life! 🩸🕸️

We’re a nonprofit performing arts organization, and we’re looking for community members, performers, theatre lovers, Halloween fanatics, and anyone who has ever thought, “I would be really good at terrifying strangers.” 😂

No professional acting experience required — just bring your energy, reliability, and willingness to get spooky with us!

Ever wanted to learn a full routine, rehearse with a cast, and actually PERFORM IT ON STAGE? This is your sign.

Join us this fall for our FREE Adult Spooktacular Performance Workshops—an 8-week rehearsal experience leading up to our annual Spooktacular performance on Saturday, October 10! 🕸️🖤

Whether you’re brand new to dance, getting back into it, or just looking for an excuse to do something fun, spooky, and a little outside your comfort zone—you belong here.

🦇 WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!
That means $0 workshop tuition for the full rehearsal experience + the opportunity to perform in Spooktacular.
