Attention in the pits!! Fairly long post here. PLEASE READ!!
We want to keep everyone informed on an incident yesterday at the facility. It was brought to our attention that a diabetic syringe (needle) was found. It was quickly picked up and stored away and out of sight. With how the world is today there's a lot of things that this could have been and we all seem to think the worst myself included. We had reached out to several people asking questions and had conversations with parents yesterday that have young children at the facility. I feel its best to to up front and honest and keep people informed. Thank you everyone who we spoke with and those who helped with the situation.
Further more we did contact the FHPD to get some information and assistance with the situation. We met with them today and they investigated the syringe and determined that it appeared to be used as intended "diabetes" and not for drug use. This was a huge relief. But as we stated before this world is full of crazy things and we just needed to ease our minds and the minds of all of you as we tend to think the worst.
We would like to apologize to anyone who may have felt uncomfortable in this situation and that we took the steps we felt necessary to get it resolved. We want everyone to feel safe at the facility and have a great time while they are there.
We have a favor to ask and its not to embarrass anyone or call them out. Diabetes runs in my family and I know it can be difficult to deal with. Please be careful with your medical equipment and keep it safe and secure. We respect your privacy as you may need to take your medicine as directed.
We want to take this time to also remind everyone of the policy at the facility of no drinking. It has been brought to our attention that some empty beer cans were found outside near the smoking area. If anyone is found drinking at the track you will be banned. Also there have been many complaints of Ma*****na smoking. As we realize it is legal in the state we will be requiring all smokers of this kind to be in your vehicles windows up on the far end of the parking lot away from the building. If you cannot follow this simple rule you will also be banned!! We have been very lenient on this but this is what we are requiring so don't put us in an uncomfortable situation to ask you to leave permanently!! We are a family oriented facility and plan to keep it that way.
We hope that everyone's minds are at ease and that we took the correct steps to figure out this situation in a timely manner. We hope you have a great night and see you next Sunday.
