The 250 Celebration Commission invites the public to attend a free event at the American Independence Center on Sunday, June 14th, 2026 from 1 to 2 PM.

Hear stories told by historical interpreters as you meet war-time, once-indentured Deborah Sampson and enslaved Prince Whipple, unexpected heroes among the forgotten in our history books. Travel back in time in an immersive experience showing us some powerful forces that helped win the Revolutionary War and, in some cases, personal freedoms.
