Some people cross your path for just a few minutes, but somehow leave a lasting impression. ❤️

This morning I met a wonderful woman from Ohio at the market, and our conversation was one of those unexpected little gifts. She was so upbeat, positive, grateful, and genuinely kind. I walked away feeling like my day was a little brighter simply because our paths crossed.

It’s moments like that—and the wonderful people we meet along the way—that make all the early mornings, long hours, baking, packing, and hard work worth it.

Thank you, Tami (or Tammy! 😊), for reminding me just how special these connections can be.

Today is all about showing a little love to the amazing staff, teachers, and school employees who work so hard for our local students. ❤️

We’re so proud to be here supporting Robertson County Schools and the incredible educators who pour so much into our community. As a small local business, being able to support the people who support our kids means so much to us!

We’ve been a little quiet around here the last couple of days… 👀

But I promise, we haven’t been sitting still! We’ve been busy researching, brainstorming, testing, tweaking, and experimenting in the kitchen—and we are SO excited to finally share what we’ve been working on. 🥥✨

Today we’re making a big ol’ batch of brown butter to put to work in some of our future sweet treats! 🧈✨

One of my favorite little kitchen tricks is batch-prepping ingredients that I know I’ll be using again. It makes baking day SO much easier when some of the work is already done.

Brown butter is especially worth making ahead. I can brown a larger batch, let it cool, portion it out, and have it ready to go whenever inspiration—or a cookie order—strikes. It saves time, keeps me from having to stop in the middle of a recipe to brown another batch, and means I always have one of my favorite flavor-building ingredients waiting in the fridge.

And here’s a little baker’s tip: don’t throw away those browned milk solids left in the bottom of the pan! That’s where so much of that deep, nutty flavor lives. Scrape every last bit into your butter. 😉

Little tricks like this are the things that make a busy baking day run smoother. They may not seem like much on their own, but those little bits of preparation add up—and sometimes, they’re what turn a good recipe into a really great one.
