Build-A-Blaster Workshop 101
For only $50/person, learn to build your own nerf-style blaster from a kit of 3D printed parts. All materials provided. All experience levels welcome. First 4 to register receive a FREE Foregrip accessory (a $5 Value).

In addition to the usual fun, I am adding 2 big features. First, I will have a supply of motorized blasters available to borrow. They may look like ordinary stock nerf blasters, but under the shell each sports new motors, a new microswitch and a full rewire to safely accept 9.6V of added battery juice! Some have also been converted to half-dart operation. Players can upgrade their loadout for only $5. Each loaner will come with plenty of dart mags.
Second, I acquired and modified some new play equipment to bring more game modes to the play map. Look for objectives that involve unlocking a space, and enhanced control point mechanics.
Tickets are still just $25/person.

We adapt the universally-played children’s game of tag by swapping physical touch for foam projectiles. That creates the secret sauce— a game that all people (regardless of age, gender, or ability) can play at the same time.
Features:
— Fun, safe and family-friendly game modes
— The ability to bring your own blaster (a large supply of free loaner blasters are provided)
— A safe play environment (blaster power is capped at 100 Feet per second)
— Intergenerational play, with recommended ages 7&Up

Make February Build-A-Blaster Month

This Saturday, jump into the world of motorized modding. Instead of ordering parts and trying to follow along with a grainy youtube video that edits out steps, let’s mod together.

Build-A-Blaster Workshop 201: Intro to Motorized Modding
Sat, Feb. 7, 2-5PM
First Baptist Church of Everett, 1616 Pacific Ave, Everett

At workshop 201, we will take a Fortnite Nerf SMG-E (a/k/a the Fortnite Stryfe) and take it from common class to elite class. This is a unique chance to mod and take home this rare and discontinued blaster. I will lead us step-by-step to:
Install a new motor, cage, and flywheel setup;
Replace the microswitch;
Install an expanded battery tray to allow the use of 6AA batteries or even a Lipo battery!

All materials are provided. No soldering will be required. We will use bullet connectors to wire everything up.

The workshop is $75/person. Only 4 more spots are available!

The following Saturday, February 14, learn to transform a single shot X-Shot Micro 2.0 blaster into a 10-shot self-priming blaster.

The X-Shot Micro 2.0 is out of production and in short supply. There will only be a few opportunities to learn to build this Gencomegawerks blaster. All materials are provided. As always, you keep the finished product.

I may have just purchased the last of these Micro 2.0 2-packs available at Walgreens. These are the guts of genius gencomegawerks reshells. I’ve noticed that supply of the Micros is drying up.

Hopefully, .xshot will have a Micro 3.0. Hopefully it uses the same plunger tube. Otherwise, the reshells will have to find a new source for its internals.
