Stephanie Spicy-Kitten, our 2024 Artist in Residence

Stephanie is a kinky, q***r and quirky artist currently on an exploration of watercolor with maybe a touch of healthy obsession over the female form. Alongside color, Stephanie is a writer, a poet, a dreamer and a hopeless romantic who prefers to spend her days out in nature, painting with her feet in a stream (using the running water in her watercolor pieces) and shaded by giant oak trees.

Not only does she identify as a kitten (and now as our adopted library cat), she also fosters homeless kittens, shares her life with two rescue dalmatians and is currently converting a cargo van for future camping travels.

This year, throughout her residency, she is on a mission to create a collection of pieces and poems for her first book, which will debut next year at South Plains Leatherfest to raise funds for the library.
