Thanks to everyone who attended this year's For the Sake of the Song! We all wish it wasn't cut short due to lightning and rain, but we're just happy so many people came out to support these songwriters. We'll be back next year (and maybe sooner with some songwriters circle pop-up events)!

Unfortunately, ladies and gentlemen, due to lightning and now rain, the remainder of the festival has been canceled. To those of you that came out and got to enjoy part of the day. Thank you also very much again we wish we could’ve continued, but for everybody safety, we could not, see you next year

A festival tease tonight for On The Roof at the Arts Council of Southwestern Indiana! The The Lowland Ramblers and Cynthia Bourne will perform this evening 7-10 p.m. for free Downtown Evansville. You can catch them again at For the Sake of the Song 2024 next Saturday, Aug. 31, for free at Wesselman Woods!

PLEASE NOTE: The main entrance to Wessleman Parks is closed for renovations. Luckily, there's a new access road to get to the park and festival grounds. Option 1 includes turning like you would go to Roberts Stadium by Swonder Ice Rink off N. Boeke Rd. Option 2 is entering from Vann Ave. or Division St. This map isn't perfect or to scale (we're no cartographers) but hopefully shows everyone how to appreciate a day of live, free music on Aug. 31 at Woods!
