Kevin Day is one of the most compelling compositional voices of his generation, known for works that blend classical traditions with jazz, gospel, R&B, funk, soul, and contemporary popular influences. He has been commissioned and performed by leading ensembles around the world, including the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra, Dallas Winds, and premier United States military ensembles. His honors include the BMI Student Composer Award and the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Award. In addition to his work as a composer, Day also enjoys an active career as a jazz pianist, performing as both a solo artist and collaborative musician in settings that range from intimate clubs to concert stages.
