“Under the guidance of Chicago’s own Khari Bowden, a.k.a. The Disco Poet, this will be a show that looks both forward and backward—celebrating our chance to connect in this time and place, while mourning and reflecting on the many connections lost, broken, and deferred in the last two years. Through a combination of theater, poetry, movement, and music, the show will speak to our season’s theme from many sides, in many voices.”

“Laughing Stock Theatre is Chicago's Premier Commedia dell'Arte company. Founded in 2019 on the principle of accessible, quality, modern Commedia dell'Arte. Laughing Stock uses the slapstick, semi-improvised style that was the dominant theatrical form in Europe for centuries that contemporaries such as Shakespeare and Moliere were deeply influenced by and whose influence stretches into today with sitcoms and cartoons, and updates it for a modern stage.”
