Ahana Dance Project A team dedicated to providing a space to learn, create, and collaborate on South Asian-inspired dance styles. To us, Ahana means a new beginning.

Ahana (अहना) in Sanskrit describes the first rays of sun that we see at dawn and represents the inner light present within all. Grown from our passion for dance, our desire to create, and our vision to bring ideas and people together, we proudly present Ahana Dance Project. We are a non-competitive South Asian fusion dance team that hopes to provide dancers with a space to learn, grow, and create.

By fostering a community that celebrates its strengths, we will encourage dancers to share themselves through their ideas, choreography, and presence. In doing so, we hope to build a platform that supports individual growth and collaboration, and continues to spread our love for South Asian culture. If you are interested in joining Ahana, please consider coming out for auditions this Monday, Oct. 16th. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or thoughts. We are SO excited to be holding virtual tryouts this year and making our family bigger :) Please read the following info:

Fill out this google form (https://forms.gle/oxY644KYh3Mjxqsp7) - it has the tryout video as well as a 30 minute tutorial for the choreo by our lovely Aditi Rathore! There is a place for you to upload your video - if the file is too big, post the video as an unlisted youtube video and link the video in the last question! Submissions are due by October 7th.
