Chicago Ballet Arts' mission is to provide a structured, affordable ballet program with high professional standards. In the process, we strive to instill in our students a love of dance, a respect for the classical disciplines necessary in a performing art, and an expanded capacity for excellence. Through our family concerts and open studio policy, we hope to encourage parental and community invol

vement in the efforts of our students, so that their success can be viewed as part of the permanent fabric of family and community life, and can stand as an open example of the relationship between rigor and achievement.

✨ Faculty Friday Spotlight: Maan Almodovar ✨

We love having Maan’s passionate, high energy, teaching style at CBA. She trained with Sherry Moray and Homer Bryant, and was recognized early on for her talent, placing 1st in the regional Junior Classical division at Youth America Grand Prix and finishing in the top 12 nationally the following year.

Maan’s performance career includes dancing with the Alabama Ballet in many works such as “Swan Lake,” “Romeo and Juliet,” and “Cinderella,” as well as with the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She has taught at the Joffrey Academy of Dance and ChiArts, among others, and has coached numerous dancers for Youth America Grand Prix.

Our Pre-Professional Summer Intensive is back August 3-8, 2026! Designed for intermediate and advanced dancers ages 10 and up, this week-long program offers mornings of ballet technique with live piano accompaniment, pointe, and variations, and afternoons filled with classes in jazz, contemporary, modern, hip hop, ballroom, musical theater, and more! With an incredible lineup of guest artists and opportunities to work with CBA's skilled faculty, it's an action packed program designed to elevate technique and artistry. No audition is required but space is limited. Embrace the challenge and discover what's next!
