Plein Air translates to painting outside - it involves observing, simplifying, making decisions in the moment and letting go of all the overthinking that can go into creating! If you’re local, come see several painters around town capturing the beautiful sights of Evanston!

I love how the watercolor pops on these two. Both of these paintings were some of the first I was truly proud of when I started watercoloring. I loved the colors and pretty details.

Neutral blues, white ink, and vintage postage = my kind of envelope. It’s timeless and classic. Used modern calligraphy for these and so happy with how delicate they turned out.

Mirrors are the toughest things to photograph - especially if you don’t want your face or toes in the picture. That said, they’re one of my favorite wedding decor items. Loved how this one turned out!

Hoping all of you are staying safe and healthy during this crazy time! ❤️ As a way of coping with my own anxiety, I’ve been trying out new sample envelopes that I’m excited to offer after things calm down in the world.

I’ve been practicing a slightly more flourished type of modern calligraphy today for an upcoming project. The flourish and thin lines in this style offer an especially airy and delicate look to these place cards.

There’s no reason for white envelopes to be boring! Gave these plain white envelopes a teal and floral treatment and they truly stand out 😍 perfect for a spring bridal shower!

You open your mailbox and find these envelopes written with beautiful mauve ink 💌 What do you think would be your first thought or reaction? I may be partial because I’m really into calligraphy and stationery, but I think something about seeing my name on an envelope written in calligraphy feels extra special. Is that just me?
When I made these, I was going for a soft romantic look and realized these envelopes matched perfectly with a grey wax seal and a natural agate place card! ✨Please share your thoughts about this palette and envelope/place card set below. I’m working on creating sample sets of envelopes with day-of stationery and would love to get your feedback on these! ❤️
Side note: No need to worry about Bill, Mary, and Ryan’s addresses being out there. I used a fake names and addresses to feature this style and palette. 😉

As promised, a styled picture of the natural agate place card featuring my favorite person’s name (aka. My hubby’s) Fun fact: this is the actual menu we used for our own wedding reception. I can’t believe it’s almost been 6 months since our big day! 🥰
When I look back at our pictures, one or my favorite things to see is the unique details we included that made our day special and personal. That’s one of my favorite things about day-of details 😍 They are those small but memorable pieces that contribute to the overall feel of the event and share more about you (the lovely couple) as well as your love story! In our wedding, instead of table numbers we used names of special places that meant something to us. I was going to wait and surprise you all with a styled picture of these natural agate place cards but I just couldn’t wait when I saw this video! 😍😬 Each of these agate slices are unique- just like your guests.
