Laughs on a Hot Tin Roof - Comedy Showcase 1st Wednesdays, we bring a new & diverse line up of great Chicagoland stand up comics to Evanston! Laura Hugg is a stand up, sketch comic and story-teller.

Laughs on a Hot Tin Roof is a new stand-up comedy showcase located in the Five & Dime rooftop lounge, in the heart of downtown Evanston! The Producers:
Seth Davis- A North Shore native, Seth hails from Skokie Illinois. H e got his comedy start at Second City in improv and sketch and now performs stand up all over the country including Comedy on State in Madison Wisconsin and Zanies Comedy Clubs. A

aron McDavis- originally from the Austin Texas, Aaron is now a Chicago comedy favorite. He is a co-producer of the darkly humored Graveyard Shift and produces his own show, Comedy 'n' Cream in Chicago. A graduate of the Second City Conservatory, she produces a recovery and survival themed comedy variety show called "Keep Coming Back". This talented team brings you a weekly offering of all the comedic talent Chicagoland has to offer! Check us out every 1st Wednesday of the month, doors open at 7, show starts at 7:30pm! ANNOUNCEMENT: Laughs on a Hot Tin Roof is going on Spring/Summer hiatus from May through September and will return in October. We have a show April Wednesday April 3rd, 2024! So check us before Summer vacay- yay!

Hohoho! Happy Haha-Hanukah! Habari Gani (google says this means have a great Kwanzaa)! It’s the happiest time of year or at least it’s supposed to be! Are you tired from spending time w/ your family for Thanksgiving?? Come to Evanston’s premiere stand up comedy showcase, Laughs on a Hot Tin Roof, we’re grateful to be back at Five & Dime with a great line up of funny friends ! Our next show is Wednesday, December 6th, doors open
