I previously shared that I was beginning a new collection called the Legacy Series.

The Legacy Series is a step beyond the everyday crafts and creations I make—beyond the flags, noodle boards, cutting boards, and other functional pieces. These are intended to be one-of-a-kind art pieces and higher-end statement pieces, designed to tell a story.

The first piece in the collection was “Rise.” Since then, I’ve started adding pieces in several different categories, including “Sentinel,” the first in what will be a series of 8–9 completely unique, handcrafted lamps.

Now, I’m working on my next major piece.

The piece pictured below is a firefighter-themed Legacy piece. It is currently unnamed, and the design is still coming together. It will feature an integrated bottle dispenser system along with other custom details.

And this is just the beginning.

I have additional Legacy pieces in the works featuring themes such as:

For each theme, I’ve been collecting unique artifacts and components that can be incorporated into the design. Depending on the piece, additional features may include hidden magnetic bottle openers and cap catchers, integrated bottle dispenser systems, custom engraving, inlaid objects, and other details that make each piece its own.

These aren’t meant to be something you simply hang on a wall.

They’re meant to represent something.

A career.
A passion.
A service.
A milestone.
A lifetime of memories.

That makes them especially suited for retirement gifts, recognition and honoring gifts, graduation gifts, milestone gifts, or something truly special for the holidays.

Every Legacy piece will be different.

I’ve got this beautiful and unique piece of black walnut burl end just waiting to be completed. First, it needs an owner who wants it customized. It has been a little while since I’ve shared a major update, and for good reason. Over the past few months I’ve been recovering from shoulder surgery while also taking the opportunity to step back, refocus, and plan the future of 2LC Custom Creations.

I’m excited to announce that I’ve begun developing what will become our premier line of handcrafted artwork: The Legacy Collection.

The Legacy Collection is being created to do more than decorate a wall—it’s designed to preserve a story.

Each piece will be custom-built to honor the people, organizations, milestones, and memories that have shaped a life. Whether it’s military service, first responders, retirements, athletic achievements, family heritage, outdoor passions, or lifelong hobbies, every Legacy piece will be uniquely designed around the story it represents.

Crafted from premium hardwoods, these heirloom-quality pieces will feature deep relief carvings, hand-finished details, colored epoxy inlays, custom engraving, and carefully selected elements that help bring each story to life. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike because no two stories are the same.

This collection represents the direction I want to take my craftsmanship—creating meaningful artwork that families can proudly display today and pass down for generations.

This is only the beginning. Over the coming weeks I’ll be sharing the design process, concept artwork, and the first pieces in the Legacy Collection as they come to life.
