We are a generation waiting to be inspired! A few years ago I met a 9 year old boy. This boy was very reserved, shy, and didn’t say much to anyone around him.

He had been bullied for years and had no confidence and when he started to show me his dance routine he stopped halfway through and started to cry. He had forgotten his routine and was so upset. From that day on I helped transform this kid through the art of dance and he went on to win best overall dancer in Orlando, performing in front of the nations top agencies. What happened to him was not me,

it was dance. He found his way through dance and now he is doing all sorts of things in the entertainment industry. This is why we do what we do; this is why Dance 2 Inspire exists. We are using dance to reach a hurting generation and letting this art form we love transform them. There is truly nothing like this anywhere and we can not wait to reach out and see the difference this movement can make.

Words don’t even do it justice what happened this weekend! We are so humble and blessed for the endless support for this convention! What started out as 12 kids in a studio has turned into a huge movement that brought over 190 kids, and 13 studios to Augusta Georgia! We prayed, we danced, we loved on each other and most importantly we GREW! We are so proud of everyone. As teachers we all set back and marveled at those we’ve seen for years and those we saw for the first time giving everything they had! THANK YOU! From the bottom of our hearts for the love everyone has shown! It’s bigger than dance for us, and bigger than just hip hop! We can’t wait to continue to grow and see where God takes this! When you sign up for Unleashed, you sign up to join a family and and our family grew this weekend! 🙏🙏 if you have any feedback we would love to hear it! We are always looking for ways to improve!

Thanks to everyone who brought to our attention the issue with our mobile site, we got it updated and should be functioning properly now. We are excited to announce another outstanding teacher that will join the unleashed family! Atlanta’s own Chenise Johnson! Chenise is a professional dancer, educator, and content creator based in Atlanta. A former NBA dancer and captain for the Atlanta Hawks, she has over 20 years of training and performance experience across stage, television, and film. She’s toured the world as a featured dancer for Norwegian Cruise Lines, is credited in Disney’s Haunted Mansion, performs with Natti Natasha in live concerts, and most recently is featured on Netflix’s The Piano Lesson! All in all, she enjoys being able to encourage and share her love for dance with the youth of today!

Next up, is ATL’s very own Aaron James!

Aaron James a creative director, choreographer, dancer and actor has been active in the professional entertainment industry for just over 15 years. He got his “big break” as he was a participant on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew in 2010 with his crew Royal Flush that he created along with his younger brother Jared James. Exposure from placing in the Top 8 on America’s Best Dance Crew propelled him into a full fledged professional dancing career that gradually led to many other opportunities in the entertainment world. Aaron has graced the stage with many big names such as Pharrell,Kanye West,Kane Brown, Little Big Town,Shania Twain, Baby Keem, T-Pain ,Jacob Latimore and more. Aaron has choreographed for many artists such as Jack Harlow, Est Gee and Lecrae just to name a few, as well as balancing an emerging acting career as you can find Aaron in many movies, television series & commercials currently airing on many major networks and streaming platforms. Aaron continues to expand his career as an emerging leader in Atlanta’s quickly expanding entertainment industry and loves being able to share what he learns with many young performers who wish to follow in similar footsteps.

Next up we have Pat Planet!

Pat is a NYC native who grew up training extensively with some of the industry’s leading choreographers and educators at the Broadway Dance Center and the Alvin Ailey school. By the age of 17 he began dancing professionally for TV, commercials, and live stage performances. His credits include Law and Order, Britney Spears, TEDx, Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody (2022), AMF, and more. He has taught at universities like the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Tufts University, and Harvard University. If you’re a sports fan, you’ve likely seen some of his work! Pat has choreographed for teams in the NBA, NFL, IFL, EHL, and other collegiate dance teams. In 2022, Pat made history by debuting as one of the first male NBA Boston Celtics Dancers in history.

Meet our next teacher, Caitlin Elledge!

Born and raised in Greenville, South Carolina, Caitlin has trained from a very early age in many different styles of Dance including Ballet, Jazz, Hiphop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Modern, Pointe, Tap, Improv, and Latin Ballroom. Growing up a competitive dancer, Caitlin has won many scholarships and titles.
She has trained at her mother’s Studio and started student teaching at the age of 15. Upon graduating high school, Caitlin started her career as an Artistic Director and Choreographer at her home Studio. She holds multiple regional and national choreography awards and has led many students, soloists, and teams to national titles. Caitlin has also choreographed for Ms. Teen South Carolina contestants. She judges for multiple competitions during the competition season and enjoys helping dancers grow and gain a new perspective during her critiques. Caitlin has studied from the industries top teachers and choreographers. She heavily focuses
on Contemporary/Fusion, Improv Techniques, Hiphop, and Latin Ballroom. When Caitlin is not teaching, dancing, or judging, she enjoys spending her time hiking and cooking with her 2 children.
