Good Morning!

A tall order to fill...winning at bingo, but I have faith in all of you.

Speaking of tall orders, on this day in 2006...only 20 years ago, two naturalists (nature people) discovered the tallest tree on Earth in Redwood National Forest in California. It stands over 380 feet tall. Just for fun, I had Jane climb the tree. I know I'm strange...

I guess my question is simple...how come no one saw that during the previous almost-200 years of American occupancy of California?...and that doesn't include who was there for centuries before that! And we've had Google Images for a while! And aviation started in California before 1910, so a pilot could have seen it...probably still above his altitude at that time, too.

Anyway, while you ponder life's weird thoughts (or at least mine), our Progressive jackpot starts at $4,866 tonight if you blackout in 52 numbers or less.

Good Morning !

We are being sandwiched between two wet weekends...moisture that is sorely needed but not in one fell swoop; I think we'll take what we get though. This past weekend and the one upcoming. Yea!

You can buy some gallons of water if you hit the progressive jackpot this week. It will be starting at $4,336 if you blackout in 52 numbers or less. It only costs $9 to play the minimum of all of our bingo games. Come on down and give it a try.

Good Morning!

If you’re in a singing mood, you can quietly sing “Happy Anniversary” to the Knights of Columbus Bingo session tonight! 🎉

It was in mid-August of 1999 when we hosted our very first bingo session at the original Bingo Planet, located near the ARC Thrift Store on 27th Street. For those of you who were there, do you remember the segregated smoking room? Yep, that was a thing!

A few years later, we moved to the “old K-Mart” building. Then, in 2005, THAT building was torn down to make way for the new Greeley Police Station. We moved across the street, behind Burger King, and stayed there until Bingo Planet decided that bingo was failing in Greeley and closed up shop..

We didn’t believe that for a second.

Fortunately, the Moose Lodge graciously opened its doors to the non-profit bingo groups, giving us a new home. And, as it turned out, bingo at the Moose has been a glowing success ever since!

For 27 years, we’ve been providing all kinds of bingo games and fun for our customers. We’ve seen plenty of changes along the way as times have changed and technology has evolved, but one thing hasn’t changed: we’re still here, and we’re still having fun!

Thank you for being part of the journey and for joining us on this crazy, fun ride. We truly appreciate every one of you!

And speaking of fun… tonight’s numbers are looking pretty good!

Good morning,

You may recall that last week was National Milk Chocolate Day. I just found out that today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. I wonder if next week is National-Glass-of-Milk Day to wash these sweets down!

Our Progressive Jackpot starts tonight at $2,938 if you blackout in 52 numbers or less, with a $400 consolation prize. On top of that, our Double Action Blackout pays $1,000 if you win in 36 numbers or less, with a $700 consolation prize. Our regular payout is guaranteed to be at least $1,950.

Our doors open at 5:00 PM, early dab-it begins at 6:45 PM, and the first bingo call is at 7:00 PM. Children aged 5 and over are welcome to play when accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Bonus Tidbit:

In Belgium in the 1870's they trained cats to deliver mail, but it was scrapped after finding that most cats would take the entire day to make a delivery. Bill and Jane like the idea, but would be too busy chasing butterflies, grasshoppers, or napping. Besides, they can't sign the payroll forms.

Do you know where you were 56 years ago last night? I do!

Today is the anniversary of Neal Armstrong's historic walk on the moon. I recall my parents waking me up to see the excitement of the landing and newsman Walter Cronkite's coverage of it. I was only 12, and didn't fully understand the magnitude of it. You put that together with what the ladies from "Hidden Figures" did mathematically in the years before that trip, and I'm just in awe.

We've come so far these last 150-ish years, from horse and buggy to cars that now self-drive (not with me in it!), and from pony express to instant communication.

But, I digress.

Our progressive tonight should start at around $2,400, and our regular payout is $1,950. Something we just started...our progressive payout (if it gets to its maximum), is $11,194 dollars,

Kids 5 and older are welcome to play when with a responsible adult.

There is not a snack bar, so please bring your own refreshments.

It's going to be hot out again today, so grab a sweater and join us at the Knights of Columbus Bingo, hosted at the Greeley-Evans Moose Lodge. They have great AC, but no snack bar, so please bring snacks and beverages of your choice to keep cool.

Our progressive will be about $1,600 tonight if you blackout in 52 numbers or less.

The progressive jackpot now caps at $11,994, and on must-go night is paid out at 6 at $1,999.

We have changed two games in our format…just to try something different and mix things up a bit.

But, the Knights are the same men…come in and say “Hi”!

Well, the 104th annual Greeley Independence Stampede has concluded; the horses and bulls and sheep are gone as the rides fold up for shipment to their next event. We got to see the demolition derby, and there still might be a few car parts left in the arena after 40 cars and 5 motorhomes fought to their self-destruction!

This gives you the opportunity to leave Island Grove's event center and come on down to the Knights Of Columbus bingo session tonight.

Our progressive made it to the top number of $7,194, so tonight will be paid out as 6 winners of $1,199 (all subject to splits, of course).

Our Crazy Kite game will be worth $450, and our double action pays $1,000 if you win in 36 numbers or less.

Our doors will open tonight at 4 PM, early dab-it's by 6:45, and first bingo call at 7.

There is no snack bar, so please bring food, snacks, and beverages to sustain you. The volunteers like cookies, too!

Today is international asteroid and meteor watch day. It’s also National social media day (who comes up with these things??)

I suggest if you see an asteroid or meteor, you post a photo on Instagram, MySpace, Friendster or other irrelevant social media websites.

If you don’t see the asteroid, that's OK. You can still post a picture of you winning the expected $7,194 progressive jackpot tonight.

This is NOT a must-go session; if not won tonight it should be a must-go on July 7.

For extra fun, double action pays $1,000 if won in 36 numbers or less.
