Fun Fact for today...remember when you were younger and enjoyed roller coasters? The first roller coaster at Coney Island opened on this date in 1884, closing in 1933. It cost $.05 (yes, 5 cents) to ride on it. Compared to a basic pass at Disney World costing $119, I think 5 cents was a bargain!

Our roller coaster of a progressive jackpot is only going up-up-up, starting this week at over $4,700 if you blackout in 52 numbers or less. If I won that I think I'd shout louder than anyone going down the roller-coaster drop! Even if I "only" won the $400 consolation prize I think I'd still do a "wheeeeee"!

Our Knights of Columbus bingo session is always open to the public, with buy-ins to play all bingo games starting at just $9. Children ages five and older are welcome to join their adults but must play bingo and remain under supervision.

Please note that the snack bar is closed, so feel free to bring your own refreshments.

88 short years ago today, the iconic Donald Duck made his debut. His films ran from 1934 to 1961, but then came some animated shorts, comic books, and his military run. In all, he was in 168 theatrical shorts, 4 feature length films, and many more as a major staple.

I found a Disney quote that I think is appropriate; it's in the attached photo!

In line with the quote, we hope you are happy, and can have a good time at bingo tonight.

Bingo OPEN tonight, June 2

But first...I just read that over 4,000 heart transplants are performed each year in the United States, with the first one taking place on this date in 1968. What a lifesaver!

Coincidentally, today is also National Rocky Road Ice Cream Day, which might be a contributing factor to those 4,000 transplants. Something to ponder...

Our progressive jackpot tonight starts at over $3,300 if you blackout in 52 numbers or less, with a $400 consolation prize. Our Double Action pays out $1,000 if you blackout in 36 numbers or less, with a $700 consolation prize.

Good morning,

While we missed the opportunity to connect on Memorial Day, we would like to take a moment to honor the occasion.

Many of us have family members who served; among my own relatives are an uncle who served in World War II, a brother who served in Vietnam, and a daughter who served overseas in Operation Enduring Freedom. Many of our Knights of Columbus members are veterans. While we can never fully repay the debt owed to those who served, please consider these words:

Last Friday marked the end of an era as LAAM hosted its final bingo session. Geneva did a wonderful job carrying on the tradition that Eddie started decades ago. With both of them now gone, the mostly longtime group made the decision to disband. We wish them all the best and hope they enjoy a well-earned “retirement” from bingo.

We’re grateful for everything they contributed to the community over the years — and none of it would have been possible without the loyal support of players like you.

The Knights of Columbus bingo session continues because of your support, and we never take that for granted. We’ll continue doing our best to treat everyone fairly, respectfully, and with appreciation for being part of our bingo family.

Wow — the numbers just keep climbing! Our progressive jackpot jumped past $2,300 last week and should be nearing $3,000 by the time we play tonight. Stop in for your chance to win big!

Bonus fact: I grew up near Philadelphia and followed their sports teams. Since the Avalanche are heading in the direction of the Stanley Cup games, I thought I'd reminisce for a second and recall that on this date in 1974, the Flyers became the first expansion team to win the Stanley Cup when they beat the Boston Bruins to take the series and the Cup. I recall listening to the game on the radio back then.

Yes, it is national limerick day, and the 132nd day of the year. One more for you:

The snow might have kept some of you home last week, but it’s nice out today.

Good Morning!

We had a fantastic Must-Go bingo session last week, paying out over $7,000 in progressive winnings, $2,250 in regular bingo prizes, and $11,000 across horses, dab-it, and pickles. One lucky player even won $1,000 on the double-action game in just 36 numbers!

As we move into May, there is plenty to celebrate. In addition to the arrival of spring, this week marks Cinco de Mayo, a significant cultural celebration of Mexican heritage and the 1862 victory over France. It is also the anniversary of the first postage stamp, which was issued in 1840.

We have several exciting updates for tonight's session:

- Progressive Jackpot: Tonight’s jackpot will be over $1,500.
- Horse Games: We will continue to offer a variety of games, including Dalmatian Derby and Downline Derby.
- Dab-it Games: Our popular "Spare Change" game might make a reappearance, paying out $800.

Join Us for Bingo Night at the Knights of Columbus!

The Knights of Columbus invite you to a can’t-miss bingo night on Tuesday, April 28th.

Our progressive jackpot hit its maximum last week and will be paid out tonight to six lucky winners at $1,199 each, subject to splits.

The full split breakdown can be found on the back of our game sheet.

In addition to regular bingo, enjoy a full lineup of favorites including Horses, Down-Lines, Dab-Its, and Pickle games.

Everyone is welcome—no membership required.

Please note: Children under 5 are not allowed. Children 5 and older must play a packet and remain under control at all times.

I am really struggling today...maybe because it's National Innovation and Creative Thinking Day and I don't have a real good idea for a fun email. More at the bottom of this notice.

So with that, I'll let you know that our progressive jackpot is over $6,700 tonight, and should reach our maximum payout of $7,194. It will not be a must-go tonight unless someone blacks out in 52 numbers or less...in which we must go give them a check for the winnings.

Our double-action also pays out a whopping $1,000 if you hit that in 36 numbers or less, with a nice consolation prize of $700.

Our doors open by 5, early dab-it at 6:45, first bingo call at 7.

As is the case recently, the snack bar remains closed, so outside food and drink is welcome.

The annual date you have all been waiting for is here...yes, Tomorrow is April 15th, otherwise known as Tax Deadline day. For now, however, it's a Bingo night for you and me and tax research for Bill… unfortunately, the IRS still says no to kitty litter and cat treats as a deductible expense.

In celebration of tax day, we will be giving away at least $1,950 in cold, hard cash tonight. Plus, if you win the progressive jackpot by blacking out in 52 numbers or less, you could walk away with almost $6,500. Our Double Action is also worth $1,000 if you blackout in 36 numbers or less.
