This year at Shamrockin Fest - BBQ & Beer Festival, we were honored to have a very special guest judge, Jay Ryon. Jay was diagnosed with Leukemia at 6 years old and was one of the first fundraisers our Firefighter Charity of Central Florida was lead in.

Jay has battled hard and has his ups and downs. He recently was diagnosed with tumors on his brain. Jay is the son of Nick Ryon, a local firefighter and volunteer at the Firefighter Charity of Central Florida. Jay's bucket list included judging BBQ at a real competition one day. Thanks to some great people, we were able to make that happen for him!

In addition, we donated $250 in Jay's honor to the charity of his choice for the team he picked as his best of BBQ. Jay choose from a local BBQ legend, Wayne Ray with Hole BBQ as his clear choices in a blind tasting.

We are honored to send a check to Make-A-Wish America in honor of Jay and Wayne.

It was great to see that big smile on Jay's face after scoring all that BBQ. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to the teams, the FBA judges that trained him on site, the Florida Bar B Que Association Public Forum for helping this happen and everyone else involved with helping Jay check a mark on his bucket list!

We love you Jay and pull for you!
