Redwood Coast Fishing is a fishing guide service targeting Salmon, Steelhead, Striped Bass and Halibut in Northern California and Southern Oregon

Redwood Coast Fishing is a fishing guide service based out of Eureka, CA. We fish the rivers of the North Coast out of a 18' Wille Drift boat and a 23' Willie sled. Our seasons presently include June-September for Humboldt Bay California Halibut, September-October on the lower Klamath/Trinity Rivers for salmon and steelhead, November/early December for trophy King Salmon on the Coastal Rivers, and

mid December-March for winter steelhead on rivers from the Chetco south to the South Fork Eel River. In addition I spend April and early May on the Sacramento system for striped bass. My rates are as follows for drift boat fishing: $250 per person for 2 or 3 people. For sled fishing: $250 per person with a three person minimum. Groups of 4 or larger will be not be mixed with other groups. Large groups for either sled or drift trips can be accommodated with the use of my network of professional fishing guides. All tackle and bait is provided.

I just had a cancellation for August 17/18 for my Humboldt Bay halibut fishery. We’ve had some really good fishing this summer and these are great tides. If you’re looking to get out of the heat and catch some slab halibut without the seasickness, shoot me a message here or text at 707-601-8757

Did a quick shakedown session in the bay this morning and we hooked a handful of nice fish. Still a few openings on good tides this season, I will be fishing halibut through early October…

I’m back home after 5 weeks of Striped Bass fishing in the Central Valley. While I’d certainly classify the fishing as good overall, the season did have an up and down quality to it. We started the season with very warm weather which prompted a bunch of fish to move upriver a few weeks early in late March. We then had a few mid season storms which created unpredictable and inconsistent conditions. While that created some challenges, limits were the norm and our average grade of fish was exceptional. Thanks to all that came, I’m already looking forward to next season! And I also gotta give a shoutout to the Striper camp guides and regulars, the comradery you all provide make this time of year one of my very favorites!

What a wonderful steelhead head season we just wrapped up!! It was the most consistent fishing we’ve seen in a few years and the grade of fish was absolutely outstanding. Thank you to all that came out with me this year! I’m taking the next week to get ready for my Striped Bass season and it sounds like there are good numbers of fish around upriver already. I have April 2 and 24 open, so if you haven’t got a date yet, shoot me a line!

We had some good fishing since the last storm, but as the rivers dropped out, fishing has got tough. There’s more rain coming mid week, and there should be a new batch of salmon on the way.

I wrapped up my bay Halibut season up last month and I’d like to thank all of you that came out again this year!! Our season was a bit up and down, but we caught fish everyday.

I’m now waiting for the rain to materialize, which should kick our Smith/Chetco salmon season into gear. I operate this fishery on an on call basis, so if you’re not on the call list, shoot me a message and we’ll get you down.

We are off and running and fishing has so far lived up to what we thought it would be this season. In other words, it’s been awesome and should only get better. Unfortunately, I just had a cancellation for April 14 and 15. These should be absoloute prime days, first come first serve…

I’m starting my Sac Valley Striped Bass season next week, and it’s shaping up to be another excellent season. I just had a cancellation for May 1st, it’s my only open date for the striper run at this point. First come, first serve!
