Redwood Coast Music Festival is excited to once again welcome back our good friend and his red hot band, Dave Stuckey & The Hot House Gang! Stuckey is an award-winning band leader, producer, singer, songwriter, drummer and swingin' guitarist extraordinaire. These things are certain when you see Stuckey listed on the schedule - Swing with a capital "S", a stage filled with incredible musicians and full dance floors.

Dave is once again leading not one but two of LA's hottest dance bands at Redwood Coast - the Hot House Gang and the western swing Hoot Owls!

The Hot House Gang is a hard-swinging, take-no-prisoners aggregation of some of the hottest jazz players on the West Coast - or anywhere for that matter. Just take a look at this lineup! Marc Caparone, Katie Cavera, Josh Collazo, Nate Ketner and Carl Sonny Leyland - all talented band leaders in their own right! These great musicians provide the core of so many great collaborative sets here at the festival.

Stuckey's Gang plays hot jazz from the 1920's & 30s...and their main objective is to bring the heat, get you out of your seat, and provoke you to move your feet. Channeling an Eddie Condon small-group drive with jiving vocals that conjures thoughts of Wingy Manone or Fats Waller. Calling all cats - that stuff is here and it's anything but mellow!

Welcome back Dave Stuckey & The Hot House Gang!

We're excited to welcome back Jim Pugh to Redwood Coast Music Festival in 2026! Jim will join us for the weekend playing sets with Sean McDonald and a special Little Village recording artist event with Kid Andersen's Greaseland Allstars on Sunday!!

There is little doubt that Jim Pugh is one of the elite keyboard players in blues music. His international performing music career spans 40 years and includes multiple Grammy Awards, platinum and gold records. He has recorded and performed with a star-studded array of musicians including B.B. King, Etta James, John Lee Ho**er, Robert Cray, Boz Skaggs, Syl Johnson and Van Morrison.
After leaving the Cray Band, he created Little Village Foundation in 2014 to share the diverse music that has always inspired him and to help other artists, especially musicians no one would learn about without Little Village Foundation’s support. This is an incredible service to the music community.

Over the years here at Redwood Coast we've been fortunate to feature numerous Little Village recording artists including Wee Willie Walker, Tia Carrol, Diunna Greenleaf, Aki Khumar, Bobby Black, Curtis Salgado, Terry Hanck, Sean McDonald and Alabama Mike.

We're honored to welcome back Jim Pugh to Redwood Coast Music Festival in 2026!

We’re honored to have festival favorites Michael Doucet and Tom Rigney and Flambeau returning to Redwood Coast Music Festival 2026!

Two of the finest fiddlers in the roots music world, Michael Doucet and Tom Rigney, come together for exciting shows on Saturday night and Sunday filled with Cajun, blues, and roots music.
Michael Doucet is widely regarded as perhaps the single most important figure in the revitalization of Cajun music in the world. TWO time Grammy winner, 12 time Grammy nominee, fiddler, composer, and bandleader, Doucet leads the globetrotting band BeauSoleil and is widely respected for his scholarship and showmanship.

Tom Rigney has been a part of the San Francisco Bay Area roots music scene for more than Thirty-five years. In 2000, after fifteen years as the leader and electrifying violinist of The Sundogs, fiddler/composer Tom Rigney stepped out on his own with a hot new band, Flambeau. Comprised of some of the finest roots players on the West Coast, they have become a crowd favorite.

We’re excited to be able to bring them back together for the weekend this year during Redwood Coast Music Festival in 2026!

We're excited for the return of Sax Gordon to Redwood Coast Music Festival in 2026!

“Unleashing the wild tradition of Rockin’ American Saxophone around the Globe” Making his first trip to Redwood Coast Music Festival – Sax Gordon! No other performer on the scene today brings to life and pushes forward the great tradition of Rockin' American Saxophone like Sax Gordon.

From an early start in garage bands, church groups, jazz combos and big bands in northern California, Gordon graduated to work and record with Bay-Area Blues giant Johnny Heartsman. After relocating to the East coast, he spent five years of touring and recording with Luther "Guitar Junior" Johnson which established Gordon on the international scene. With Luther's encouragement, Gordon continued to develop his signature style - wild and exciting sax inspired by Blues, Soul, Jazz, and Rock & Roll.

Gordon has recorded and toured internationally with Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Junior Watson, and Toni Lynn Washington as well as with the Duke Robillard Band with whom he also backed Blues and Swing greats Jimmy Witherspoon and Jay McShann on tours and recordings. Gordon has toured internationally with Roomful of Blues, John Hammond, Sherman Robertson, and Soul legend Solomon Burke, while at home he has worked with a who's who of American Blues and Soul music greats including Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, James Cotton, Junior Wells, Little Milton, Ben E. King, Hubert Sumlin, Sam Moore (of Sam & Dave), Johnny Johnson, Howard Tate, Martha Reeves, Mighty Sam McClain, Johnny Copeland, and the Fabulous Thunderbirds among others.
Sax Gordon is one of the most exciting and in-demand performers carrying on the great tradition of American rhythm & blues saxophone, both in studios, clubs and concert halls worldwide.

Welcome Sax Gordon to the Redwood Coast in 2026!

We're excited to welcome one of the world's most celebrated Jump blues/swing bands Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums Featuring Carmen Getit here in 2026!

Steve Lucky and Miss Carmen Getit are the dynamic frontmen of Steve Lucky & The Rhumba Bums, a San Francisco–based jump-swing band celebrated for their superior musicianship, high-energy performances, witty banter and mastery of swing, jazz, blues, and R&B. Described as “instant crowd favorites” by the San Francisco Blues Festival and “consummate musicians and entertainers” by Lincoln Center, they have the ability to turn any audience into a dancing crowd.

Born in Seattle and raised near Detroit, Steve Lucky started playing piano at age eight and was playing and singing professionally by the time he was thirteen. He founded and led the six-piece Blue Front Persuaders through the ‘80s, playing swing, jump-blues, and ‘40s and ‘50s R & B, while living in Ann Arbor and attending the University of Michigan. In 1987 Lucky moved to New York City to play keyboards for Grammy award-winning guitarist and vocalist Johnny Clyde Copeland. During the next five years he was active in the Greenwich Village music scene, was hired to score performance art and theater, and performed with a diverse group of musicians including Joan Osborne, Blues Traveler, and the Spin Doctors.

Sticking to his musical roots, Lucky formed his own band in New York City working the nightclubs and touring throughout Europe. In 1993 he moved to San Francisco and started the Rhumba Bums as a quintet, but admits the band really took shape in ‘94 with the addition of Miss Carmen Getit on vocals and guitar.

In Carmen's powerful vocals, one can hear echoes of her idols Ruth Brown, Etta James, and Dinah Washington. Miss Getit is a dynamic performer and versatile vocalist, interpreting "slick jazz a la Dinah Washington" or shouting down-and-out blues. In 1998 she recorded a critically acclaimed release with the Rhumba Bums, Come Out Swingin'!, earning four stars in both Downbeat and Blues Access Magazines and accolades from the press. Getit is recognized for her more swinging styles in Guitar Player Magazine as "smooth and steady," and her grittier blues playing in Experience Hendrix Magazine, where Frank-John Hadley calls Getit "one of the most striking young blues guitarists in the country."

Welcome Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums Featuring Carmen Getit to The Redwood Coast Music Festival in 2026!

Humboldt County is home to some fantastic artists and we've been fortunate to work with some of the best. Perhaps the most notable of all is the incredible Duane Flatmo. His 50 year contribution to the community is immeasurable and on display all over this City with his incredible murals. Redwood Coast Music Festival was very fortunate to have a long running relationship with Duane as he did our poster artwork for many years when we were "The Redwood Coast Jazz Festival". The greatest compliment that an artist can accomplish with their artwork is when it is instantly recognizable as their own and Duane Flatmo has earned that distinction.

Tonight we all go out to celebrate his 50 year career and naming of the Alley in his honor. At the foot of perhaps his most significant mural will also stand one of his most fantastic creations - "El Pulpo Magnifico" The amazing 30' tall fire breathing octopus designed for Burning Man and travels to events all over the country.

A few of our previous posters are below - come on out tonight to celebrate this brilliant artist and treat yourself to an amazing show.
