Come into the Morris Graves Museum this on Saturday, May 2nd for a unique Arts Alive experience! Cowtown Sound will play jazz and folk from 6-9 pm in the rotunda.
This weekend marks the opening of Seongmin Yoo’s exhibition, Pulses of Experience, Exploring the Psychology of Flight or Fight, in which dynamic, life-size figures articulate the intense physiological moment of attentive immobility—a reaction that premeditates a fight-or-flight response. This exhibition will feature an Art Talk and performance by the artist at 5 pm. It will be on display until June 21st in the Thonson and Knight Galleries.
This Arts Alive will also open Peggy Loudon and George Bucquet’s exhibition, Twin Flames, a mixed media display of ceramic and glass works that creates a visual dialogue between two lifelong friends. It will be shown until June 21st in the Anderson Gallery.
Step outside on Saturday to see the new addition to the sculpture garden! Artists Sheala Dunlap and MelissaMack Barker will unveil their new sculpture, Winds of Change, and give a short presentation at 6 pm.
We hope to see you there on Saturday!
