I don't do New Years resolutions, they always just feel like a set-up for failure.
Instead, I like to think about goals and things I'd like to try.
So, here's my finally finished Coat of Many Colors by Sandra McIver!!! I started this seeevvverrral years ago as a way to use up yarn and I think I ended up purchasing more yarn than I started with🤣. There were soooo many ends to sew in and my finished sleeves were so long I ended up having to steek them. It worked out as I had never steeked before (and I was terrified) and it gave me the opportunity to create these exaggerated wrist cuffs with thumb holes. It is very comfortable and very warm 😍
Last picture is of an idea I had last year but never really fully developed. Going to try and finish it this year and see what other plarn things I can create while I use up my stash😁

I have soooo many video trainings for my new job! I definitely need to keep my hands busy or else I will fall asleep! So, this morning I grabbed a skein of yarn I hadn't been able to decide what to make as well as my interchangeable set. I decided on making another Honey Cowl by Antonia Shankland as it's one of my favorite cowl patterns, doesn't require my full concentration and looks great with ombré yarn!

My took a little field trip recently to a local elementary school where my friend is a school librarian! She was reading One Plastic Bag: Isatou Ceesay and the Recycling Women of the Gambia by , to her students. 2008 to 2024
Sometimes it feels like nothing has changed and then sometimes it feels like everything has changed.
Same- I am still with my bf (we’ll hit 19 years this year 🤯), I still have a great group of friends, and I still find enjoyment in knitting and crocheting for myself and others.
Different- I am officially college educated with a Bachelors and an MBA👩🏻‍🎓!! My hobby has become my side hustle and I’ve come to appreciate my time spent in therapy to deal anxiety.

Fun fact about me, for over a decade, I used to teach Lindy Hop and run a weekly dance scene. Many of the people I became friends with through dance are still my Fiber Friends!!! Here’s some pics of some of my friends n me through the years! We are such babies!!!
