📣 Calling all filmmakers!! 📣

SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN for the 2027 DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon!

🎬 We are seeking films “For us, by us and/or about us". Entries must have one of the following:
-A principal that identifies as Asian American/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (writer, producer, director, main actor, cinematographer)
-Be about an Asian American/Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander experience or subject
-Be made with Asian Americans/Native Hawaiians/Pacific Islanders as the target audience

To be considered for selection, entries must have completed production after December 15, 2023.

Submit your film by October 17, 2026, to receive an earlybird discount on the entry fee for feature-length films!

We are happy to share that the short documentary BY WALKING is streaming now on PBS & Reel South Shorts!

What does it mean to be a person from a place? BY WALKING is a slice of life short documentary that examines this and other questions with Beth as she explores connection with her ancestral homeland and the value of outdoor adventures.

Our Closing Night Awards Gala was a spectacular way to close out the DisOrient 2026 in-person festival. Filmmakers, festivalgoers and the DisOrient crew shared some delicious bites and beverages while cheering on award winners and listening to all of the heartfelt acceptance speeches.
