I wouldn't normally try to use a photo like this for a reference. Its not ideal at all. However, the owner is really wanting me to draw this dog, and since the dog passed over a decade ago.. we've got to deal with the photos we have. I'll try my best, and I've managed to blow up the picture and use editing to make it as clear as possible.
