And, a collaborative drawing activity using the materials Rachael had used

Meet New Zone artist Jackie Lester!
"I am amazed to find myself in the art world after a career, first as a speech-language pathologist, then a much longer career as an administrator in K-12 education. I’ve never had the time for any formal art training or exploration until finally settling into retirement.

A move from my 40 wooded acres outside of Cottage Grove Oregon where I spent all of my free time enjoying the forest or gardening, has been a profound life change. Finding myself living in town in Eugene has prompted me to explore alternative ways to connect with the natural world. I found clay is the medium offering me the opportunity to get my hands dirty while setting my imagination free. My clay art includes many textures and natural elements."

Featured in September at the gallery is a collaboration between Sheri Smith & Dean Jordan: “Art From Nature (Part 2)." Join us this Friday for an opening reception with libations, hors d'oeuvres, live music, and most importantly art! 🎨 Read more about Sheri and Dean below 👇🏻

Two people who are inspired by the natural world around them: Dean focuses on bringing out the beauty of the wood and Sheri performs her magic onto the forms using weavings in natural fibers and gems. The result is the best of both worlds.
