In Music Together classes,
we love to repeat, we love to repeat, we love to repeat
all of our songs until we have built new neurons
and pathways in the brains of our little ones!

Have you wondered why we sing a song so many times in class? Repetition is essential for early music learning—it helps create and strengthen neural pathways in the brain, which are important for developing new skills. Repetition also helps a child feel safe, which is important for exploring and learning new things. So, when your child asks to hear their favorite song over and over, go ahead and sing it again and again, knowing you are helping them learn!

DId you know that the “together” in Music Together is you. You are your child’s most important teacher, and Music Together class doesn’t work without you. Even though your children sometimes get fascinated with the teacher or with the door k**b on the other side of the room, they are always aware of you. So your natural joyful participation in class is the best musical model that you can provide for your child. So, let go, be as silly as you are able, sing and dance along, and know that you are nurturing your child’s natural ability to be a music-maker.

Monday, Monday, So good to Me....

We had our first class of Spring Term.
It was beautiful! Lots of smiles, claps, taps and bouncing.

Remember being a kid among a bunch of adults singing around a campfire, or in a living room on a holiday? Do you remember the magical feeling of everyone being together with music permeating the group and how it felt? This is what happens in Music Together Classes! Adults sing, dance, and play instruments, and the kids absorb. Then they join in. It's amazing to witness. It is a weekly dose of fun and connection for moms, dads, grandparents, and caregivers of 0-5 year olds. Because, when a group of adults get together to sing and dance, and children are present, the effect is magical. Little faces light up. The children sense that something special is happeing, and they remember it forever. When you are in class, allow yourself to be the main music maker.
