Karin Clarke Gallery is pleased to present Forest Communities, a large exhibition of new paintings by beloved Eugene artist and nature advocate, Olga Volchkova. With her training in Eastern Orthodox iconography and traditional icon painting, Volchkova celebrates the communities of native plants and animals found in the Pacific Northwest and calls attention to the interconnections between flora, fauna and humankind.

This selection, thrilling for art- and nature-enthusiasts alike, features eighteen new works and is notable for its variety of approaches to its subject matter. The pieces in this series vary in size and include, for the first time, a taller vertical format. Prints of the artist’s new and previous work are also available

The Oregon Landscape: Terminal Lobby Art

The Karin Clarke Gallery, in coordination with City of Eugene Cultural Services, proudly presents The Oregon Landscape at the Eugene Airport gallery.

This captivating exhibition highlights the natural beauty of the region through the eyes of six of Oregon’s most treasured landscape painters:

Mark Clarke (Eugene, 1935–2016), Margaret Coe (Eugene), Bets Cole (Elmira), Heather Jacks (Eugene), Craig Spilman (Eugene), Robert Schlegel (Banks, 1947–2021)

Working masterfully across a variety of mediums, these artists take viewers on a visual journey from the rugged Oregon Coast to the serene Valley, offering works that range from bold and dramatic to soft and luminous.

When and how can we see this show?
The Maurie Jacobs Community Room open during Hult Center Box Office hours:
Tuesday–Friday: Noon–5 p.m.
Saturday: Noon–3 p.m.
The gallery is also open one hour before Hult Center performances and during intermissions for ticketed patrons, whenever possible. Admission to the exhibition is free.

Following this year’s return of the Mayor’s Art Show to the Hult Center, the public-owned performing arts center is filling its gallery space with an exhibition curated by downtown Eugene gallerist Karin Clarke.
