It's true, I have retired! All of my work is now at The Emporium, Veneta. Check them out, so many great artists are displaying their work there too. Happy Trails

I am looking for a place to park in Eugene for the month of January. It was originally my plan to leave for Arizona early January. However I have bursitis in my left hip and waiting on an orthopedic doc appointment on February 1st. I do not need anything besides a place to park. The level of pain has I hope begun to subside enough that I am able to do water aerobics. Thank you in advance!

The piece before you, is made from re-purposed piano parts.
Of the 25 pianos I have dismantled I think the pedals here are the finest for several reasons, they are a combination of cast brass and cast iron. In the casting of the iron, in both the pedal and the pivot, cast into them is the company name and the date of patent.
Upright pianos have what I call a skid plate, it is the bottom most piece of wood on the piano. Mounted on the inside of the skid plate are the pedals, this skid plate is American Chestnut. It is a rare wood today, in that it was nearly whipped out by a blight, beginning in 1904. An estimated 4 billion mature trees.
So, these piano pedals are still mounted to the “skid plate” they were mounted for nearly 100 years, now as a door knocker.
All parts are from the same piano, including the wood, the pedals, the pivots and the screws, the only exception is the strike plate, it is fashioned from a steel bar to resemble the cast iron part of the pedals.
