Art House After Dark returns with perhaps the most bizarre roles of both Marlon Brando & Val Kilmer's career, the notorious 1996 remake of "The Island of Dr. Moreau"!

The production was plagued with suicides, divorces, and egotistical stars, and was so notorious it spawned a 2014 documentary "Lost Soul"!

Behold this fascinating cinematic atrocity on the big screen starting June 5!

Art House After Dark returns to Art House Friday, May 1 with "Alice Sweet Alice" (aka "Holy Terror")! This film's title and marketing was changed after Brooke Shields' (who has a fairly minor role in the film) celebrity exploded, this film is the closest we've come to an American Giallo and a very early iteration of the slasher trope that would explode in the early 1980s!

"A young woman left her family for an unspecified reason. The husband determines to find out the truth and starts following his wife. At first, he suspects that a man is involved. But gradually, he finds out more and more strange behaviors and bizarre incidents that indicate something more than a possessed love affair."
