Clay Space and Whiteaker Printmakers are joining forces to present the Second Avenue Art Fest, a free outdoor celebration of local art and community, taking place on Sunday, June 14, 2026 from 11 AM to 4 PM!

The event will be held in the parking lot on 2nd Avenue between Polk St. and Taylor St., rain or shine, with plenty of nearby parking available.

Featuring over 30 local artists showcasing pottery, jewelry, painting, blown glass, and printmaking, the festival promises something for every art lover. Whether you’re searching for a one-of-a kind piece for your home or simply want to spend an afternoon immersed in creativity, the Second Avenue Art Fest is a can’t-miss community event!

What to Expect
• Live wheel throwing and hand building clay demonstrations
• Printmaking demonstrations by Whiteaker Printmakers
• Kids’ Clay Play area — children create and take home their own air-dry clay artwork • Live folk/country music
• Ice cream truck on site
• Gift basket drawing featuring pottery, treats, and more

Giving Back to the Community
A percentage of proceeds from the event will benefit Clay Space, a nonprofit educational and member-based creative studio in Eugene where ceramic artists of all skill levels come to learn, grow, and connect. The festival is a direct reflection of Clay Space’s mission: to make art accessible and to foster a vibrant local creative community.

Eugene Sustainable Fashion Month is all about turning style into a playground for creativity, community, and
conscious design. In partnership with the Hybrid, MECCA, and Viking Textile Maker Hub, we’re bringing
together vintage lovers, designers, and makers to show what’s possible when fashion gets a second (or third)
life.
This is where scraps become statement pieces and second-hand finds hit the runway. Local designers will
team up with businesses to transform offcuts and surplus materials into bold, original looks—proving that
sustainable fashion can be just as expressive, unexpected, and fun.

Whiteaker Tattoo Collective will be doing a MUSHROOM THEMED art walk - including our giant mushroom sculptures - which are now a permanent fixture in the yard. Mushroom themed art, tattoos, and photos with the shrooms.....all are encouraged to dress up for pics - we are always open at noon til 8 during art walk and people can stop by all during business hours

Our June Artist of the month is Marlis! We are honored to welcome her back at PLAY.
From the artist:
“The landscape is a place I go in painting when I want a meditative practice. It’s less involved with layering symbolism and more involved with creating a feeling projected by the time and space I see outside. One moment is every moment.”
Marlis is a Eugene based painter for the last 20 some years. She has a BA in fine art, and currently works as a tattoo artist.

I am updating a book I produced in 2018. Several of the artworks need upgrading. “More Quiet” is one of them. I’ll put a link in the first comment and also in stories as well as profile to see more details and order the book.
