The booth is all staffed and ready for Market!

I've been working on a customizable market booth design for fellow makers and vendors, and obviously I couldn't just make one character. So now we have a bee, an opossum, a goose, and a worm. (Not pictured).

The plan is to make different characters, products, and little booth details so people can customize the booth space to look like their own market setups!

I have about a million ideas for what these little guys could sell, but I want to know what you think!

What should these tiny vendors be selling next? 👀💕

Running a small business with a breastfed baby is basically just *strategic use of b***s*

Some days I get a lot done. Some days I get 10 minutes of drawing done and decide that counts as productivity. But every day, no matter what I do, I get to hold my baby while doing it. And I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

Soft Nonsense may not have traditional business hours, but my tiny supervisor is VERY committed to making sure we take our milk breaks. 🫡

And somehow, little by little, things get done. ❤️

But for real, the constant task switching is HARD.

Like, can I get a reasonable accommodation for an additional two minutes to mentally transition between versions of myself?

Because when getting into the zone is already this hard.. being forced to snap out of it feels illegal. ❌

But at least the constant interruption is really cute.

Sometimes being a mom means being busy literally all day only to FINALLY sit down and wonder.. what did I even do all day??

But today I made some nuggets, wore real clothes, socialized with other adults and kept my tiny supervisor alive and happy.

I'm counting it as productive.

Also apparently my current work-life balance is just making things whenever the baby decides I'm allowed to, squeezing life in between naps and nursing, and calling it a successful day.

I do love it though.

Turns out even having a baby can't stop me from obsessing over tiny details.. I just have a tiny supervisor now!

And she takes her job VERY seriously. 😅

Oops! I accidentally built an entire brand while nap-trapped! 👻
Hi, I’m Miranda!! I’m the owner, artist, designer, maker, and all things behind Soft Nonsense! 🐛🍅
After having my baby, digital art became one of the only ways I could keep creating while still holding her in my arms. Somewhere between contact naps and one-handed drawing sessions, Soft Nonsense came to life!
Okay.. Soft Nonsense isn’t exactly a brand-new brand created from scratch. It’s more like an expansion of The Nugget Factory! It’s a bigger little world where the nuggets can live alongside friendly ghosts, cute worms, cozy hobbies, and whatever other silly things cross my mind. It gives me room to keep creating while still giving my baby all the love and attention she deserves. 🌈❤️
So, if you already know me from The Nugget Factory, don’t worry.. the nuggets aren’t going anywhere! They’ve just joined an even bigger universe. 🦖💫🌈👻🍅🐛
