Happy International Dance Day from L’ecole la Danse!

For nearly 50 years, dance has been at the heart of our studio. Building confidence, discipline, friendships, and unforgettable moments on and off the stage.

Today, we celebrate every dancer who has walked through our doors, every leap, every turn, and every dream.

What an incredible recital weekend ✨

I’m still taking it all in… every moment, every performance, every smile on that stage. Our dancers truly shined, and it was so special to watch their hard work, growth, and passion come to life.

I am beyond grateful for our amazing staff who pour so much time, energy, and heart into making this all possible. This weekend wouldn’t be what it is without you.

And to our dancers… your dedication, confidence, and love for dance is what makes this studio so special. I couldn’t be more proud of each and every one of you.

Thank you to all of our families for your continued support. We are so lucky to have such a strong, positive dance family.

It’s Recital Day ✨

Wishing every one of my dancers the very best of luck as you take the stage today. I am so proud of each of you for the growth, dedication, and heart you’ve shown all season long.

You’ve pushed yourselves, supported each other, and grown into confident, beautiful performers. That’s what today is all about.

Now it’s your time to shine bright and soak in every moment on that stage!

T'was the night before recital and all through the house,
A dance mom was busy, more busy than her spouse.
All the costumes were hung from the Dream Duffle with care,
In the hope nothing was forgotten, from the tights to the fake hair.

Then what to my wandering eyes should appear,
But end of season dance gifts full of good cheer.
Jazz shoes were packed with the tap and ballet,
I knew in just hours we'd start out the day.

And more rapid than eagles the morning did come,
Running on little sleep, feeling a bit numb.
And so went the Keurig to pump the caffeine,
This mom would do anything for her dancing queen.

The lights were so bright, the crowd cheered real loud,
They finished their dance, and then they all bowed.
Hugs were given off stage as they celebrate in delight,
Happy Recital to all, and to all a good night!

✨SENIOR SPOTLIGHT✨

Suri LeAnn Shatto is the daughter of Brent and Tera Shatto. She began dancing at LLD when she was 3 years old and has performed in tap, clog, jazz, ballet, hip hop, and musical theatre. Along with dance, Suri is involved in purple cord, National Honor Society, Student Council, track, and Dance Team. Suri plans to attend Iowa Central Community College to major in nursing and continue her dancing career as a member of the Tritons Dance Team. Suri wants to thank Denise and Danie for sharing their time and talent with her. “They didn’t just teach me technique, they taught me to love the art of dance.” Suri would also like to thank all of her amazing teammates and lifelong friends she has made along the way. Suri’s favorite LLD memory was getting 7th overall in her solo her junior year.
