Long before smartphones and digital tickets, this small pass represented a day of excitement, laughter, and family memories that have lasted for generations.

It's amazing to think that more than 70 years later, Ride A Kart is still creating those same unforgettable moments for families visiting Estes Park. Thank you, Kelly, for preserving this wonderful piece of local history and reminding us that some traditions never go out of style.

There was a time in Estes when you could pump gas, grab a bottle, and put the kids on a train ride… all within about 30 feet.

This was the Silver Streak (Silver Bullet)- a kiddie train that ran right along Elkhorn Avenue.

Texaco sign. Liquor store. Catch-a-trout billboard.
And a tiny locomotive circling like it was completely normal.

The real question is…

📍 Where exactly was this?

Some say across from Bond Park.
Some say near the old library.
One old directory lists Rowland’s Texaco on Elkhorn.

If you’ve been coming to Estes since the 50s, 60s, 70s or 80s -
or if your parents told stories - drop your best guess (or memory) below.

And if you actually rode this thing… we need to hear about it.
