“The Mustang Mountain Coaster was a GREAT experience! Each car has a brake so you can control your own speed. The scenery is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly & helpful. We and our wedding party actually went here after getting married in Rocky Mountain National Park and they treated us like royalty. They made sure we got some amazing pictures of us all riding down the mountain in our wedding attire! Such a special experience! One we'll never forget!”💗

This Saturday – April 16th – Free Entry to all National Parks!

Colorado is home to four National Parks: Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde, Great Sand Dunes and Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

“National parks are for everyone and we are committed to increasing access and providing opportunities for all to experience the sense of wonder, awe and refreshment that comes with a visit to these treasured landscapes and sites.”

Visitors are encouraged to begin their trip with a stop at the NPS app.

Please join us as we CELEBRATE National Colorado Day!

The Centennial State was the 38th state to join the Union on August 1, 1876. Colorado is the first of the Four Corner States.

Prehistoric Colorado comes to life in the Florissant Fossil Beds. Discover one of the most abundant deposits of fossils in the world while taking in the beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

A city once thrived along the cliffs of Mesa Verde, populated by Ancient Pueblo.

Spanish first explored Colorado seeking streets paved with gold.
Gold would be discovered setting off a fever in the mountains.
A silver boom would soon follow.

With an elevation higher than any other state, Colorado counts 53 mountain peaks that reach 14,000 feet or more.

Not only does Colorado have phenomenal skiing and snowboarding, but because the state has the tallest dunes in North America, sandboarding is also the best in the nation.

Colorado also stakes claim to the creation of the creamy and delicious root beer float! Those white frosty peaks of ice cream in churning dark root beer seem appropriate somehow for the Rocky Mountain State.

Longest toboggan run in switzerland | Churwalden

We have featured Mountain Coasters in Austria, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Haiti, Hungary,
Iran, Jamaica, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vietnam and Wales.

Today we make our 2nd visit to Switzerland!

From their website…
“Our toboggan run in Churwalden, in the Arosa-Lenzerheide ski resort, promises a fun ride in summer as well as in winter, along with a nice adrenaline rush. Through 31 curves and with a height difference of 1,570 ft., the toboggan run twists and turns down into the valley. At a length of exactly 104040 ft., the longest toboggan run in Switzerland.

Because the toboggan run is on rails, it can be ridden in summer as well as in winter (weather permitting). A ride lasts seven to ten minutes, from the starting point at 5,740 ft. above sea level down into the valley, reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. The toboggans also feature a brake lever, allowing everyone to ride at the speed they’re most comfortable with. And the ride up to the starting position is quite comfortable in the four-seater chairlift.

Lean into the curves, feel a sense of weightlessness, or just enjoy the clean alpine air and the magnificent view – in any event, it’s fun for the whole family!”

For more about us, https://bit.ly/Mustang_Mountain_Coaster.

Fun for the whole family: 31 curves, height difference 480 metres, up to 40 km/h, 7 to 10 minutes per ride, open summer & winter. Inform here!

What is a Mountain or Alpine Coaster?

Mountain / Alpine Coasters are similar to and were inspired by, Bobsled Coasters, but use rails instead of a trough to form the track.

The use of rails means the coasters can operate all year round, replicating traditional ice-formed bobsleds tracks.

Mountain / Alpine Coaster sleds are safely attached to the track in a similar method to roller coaster trains, using side friction and up-stop wheels.

Mountain / Alpine Coasters either have a double rail system, similar to a roller coaster, or a singular rail like a monorail.

Unlike a roller coaster, riders control the speed of the sled using brake levers.
Anti-collision and other safety systems prevent dangerous riding.

The wide-open feeling while on a Mountain / Alpine Coaster can create a heightened sense of speed and intensity.

National Vietnam War Veterans Day

Please join us as we remember and honor all the brave men and women who served in the Vietnam War. Thank you to all who served and to their families.

The United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration honors all veterans who served on active duty in the U.S. Armed Forces at any time from November 1, 1955, to May 15, 1975, regardless of location.

The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that today there are more than 6 million U.S. Vietnam veterans living in America and abroad, along with 9 million families of those who served during this timeframe.

Today was chosen to be observed in perpetuity as March 29, 1973, was the day the United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished and also the day the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam.

In addition, on and around this same day Hanoi released the last of its acknowledged prisoners of war.

🏔The Rodeo with Altitude!🏔 Even if it was a quick trip, Rooftop Rodeo was worth every moment! We enjoyed a luncheon in honor of the Rooftop Rodeo Royalty, followed up by a thrilling ride on the Mustang Mountain Coaster. That evening, we mounted up on the Cervi Championship Rodeo Company Blacks to carry flags. Shortly after the rodeo started, we were caught in a downpour! Even wet and soggy, we had a wonderful time! Thank you to the Rooftop Rodeo Royalty, the rodeo committee, the coordinator - Holly Sprietzer, the Cervis, and my sash sisters Miss Rodeo America, Miss Rodeo Colorado, Miss Rodeo Florida, and Miss Rodeo Iowa for making it a great trip! Gratefully, Rachel Derner Miss Rodeo Wyoming 2020-21
