I will be a vendor but have not been advertising the John J Resta /Bel Air Festival for the Arts. Why? Because they used an AI generated flyer for this festival.
I emailed them to express my concerns and provided them with several options that their council could utilize to promote and create marketing materials. Their response was through and through ignorant and unacceptable. I emailed again asking if a refund was possible( it is a high vendor fee for a one day event) …and crickets. The council acquired a marketing professional but haven’t heard a peep.
I thought about bailing but I’m not in a position to lose the fee and sales( thanks contractor who took our money and fails to show). Plus if I say I’m not going, they will fill it with another vendor and get double the vendor fee.
So, I will be vending for the LAST time ( I’ve had other issues with this event). If you shop with me during this event, come say Hi on September 13th from 9-5 at Shamrock Park. My booth number 25, will have clear signs of my stance on AI 😉
