For those who had fathers they want to remember, for those who had fathers they no longer talk to but miss, for those with strained relationships that bottled their own truths too long. This keepsake is a whimsical and fun activity to create together out of the many beads, glitters, and shimmering filler options we have. Choose to turn sorrow and grief into light.

¡Ven a jugar y aprender con Play Exploration!

¡Domingo 28 de junio a las 2 p. m.!

Join us June 28 from 2 PM - 3 PM (maybe 4pm depending on interest) for Play Dough Exploration with Mrs. Jen.

This playful hands-on art experience is designed to encourage creativity, imagination, sensory exploration, and fine motor skill development through open-ended play.

Artists will squish, roll, shape, flatten, sculpt, and create using colorful play dough while exploring texture, storytelling, design, and creative expression in a welcoming and supportive environment. Mrs. Jen will guide activities while adapting to different ages, experience levels, and comfort levels so every artist can have a fun and successful experience.

Ages 2+ and older. Adults and children with all ability levels welcome

A parent or caretaker must accompany the artist for the entire duration of the event.

$10 per artist

Seats are Limited to 20 artists.

Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of freedom, resilience, community, and hope.

We honor the generations of Black Americans whose courage, creativity, leadership, and perseverance helped shape this country and continue to enrich it every day. Black artists, musicians, writers, educators, and creators are woven into the fabric of American culture and history.

As we celebrate, we also remember that freedom is strongest when it belongs to everyone.

Happy Juneteenth from all of us at Kestrel Cafe.
