(aka Electro Etching Steel)

What is electro-etching you might ask?
Electro etching is an acid free etching process for steel and copper using electricity and an electrolyte solution like saltwater. Using a resist to block some parts of the steel, the exposed metal is slowly removed and transferred towards the negative anode piece. Now there is a raised surface and an etched surface creating depth in the pattern or design.

On this , I want to say a big thank you to some of my friend's closer to home here in New Mexico.
Chris & Shelby ( Broken Arrow Glass Recycling & ) are some of the hardest working people I know! They manage a recycled glass business, run a beautiful gallery, and run around all over with two kids too!

I had the pleasure of making them a new sign for and hope it brings in so much business for them (my work is there too)!
They have been extremely supportive of me as an artist and metalsmith and deserve a shout-out as amazing friends.
