Georgia's School of Dance will continue to remain open and will closely monitoring the developments regarding the coronavirus, COVID-19, we are aware of the concerns regarding its potential spread. Georgia's will be implementing protocols to minimize the spread of any illnesses, and we are following the guidance of the CDC. We advise all families to follow the guidelines set by the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), your state’s public health department (click here for a listing of state public health departments), and other county and/or local authorities including area school districts and government agencies.
Our intention is to remain open until mandated by the state
We will be taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our Georgia’s families. The following procedures will become effective on March 14th, 2020: Classes will remain open for the time being though we will monitor the recommendations and keep you up to date
• If your child or any household member feels at all ill or under the weather PLEASE stay home
• Make up class time limits will be extended
• If you feel your child needs to stay home please keep them home
• Barres, fixtures and mats will be wiped down between classes
• We will have professional cleaning and increase the schedule. Beginning with a deep cleaning on Saturday March 14, 2020
• IMPORTANT: DO NOT SHARE DRINKS OR FOOD and wash your hands before and after you eat.
• Our teachers and staff have been advised to limit close personal contact with children and each other, and will not be giving hugs, handshakes and high fives during this time.
****Observers and parents, We are limiting observers and attendance in our waiting areas. If you can please wait in your cars or drop off and pick up. We will need to limit the amount of people in the building that are not taking class. Please be mindful of the dire need to keep the numbers down. We also will classify any children not enrolled in classes as an observer and ask you keep them out of the building.
Please take note and follow the recommendations of San Diego County Public Health Services:
• Follow coughing/sneezing etiquette
• Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
• Avoid touching your eyes nose and mouth.
• If you or your child are sick and/or if you or your child have not been fever free (temperature of 99 or lower) for at least 24 hours please do not come
