What is Open Mic Pro by Pacific Lyric Association?

I would best describe Open Mic Pro as a wine tasting for opera, operetta, Latin, Jazz and Broadway music.

-If you are an opera aficionado it's an opportunity to listen to pieces you may or may not know.
-If you are new to opera, it's an opportunity to listen to a variety of opera pieces and discover the richness of opera.
-If you are a professional opera singer, it's an opportunity to showcase your skills, try new pieces in a relaxed environment (contact us)
-If you are an op and coming opera singer, it's an opportunity to practice your skills in front of an audience and who knows, get your foot in the door and perform in one of our opera productions. (contact us)

Many talents performed at Open Mic Pro, then went on to perform in our productions before getting their foot in the door of larger opera companies.

All that in a relaxed, no pressure atmosphere, in front of a mix of opera aficionados and newbies, in the oldest winery in San Diego County (previously called Ferrara Winery), in the outdoor patio during Summer and inside a beautiful venue that will make you feel like you are in an old European Palace during Winter.

Open Mic Pro by Pacific Lyric Association is every 4th Wednesday of the month at the Forgotten Barrel Winery from 6:30pm to 8pm.

Did I mention there is no cover charge? We encourage you to taste the winery's award winning wines and donations are always welcome and do help us continue this outreach program month after month
