πŸ¦† CALLING ALL POTENTIAL DIRECTORS! 🎭

We're still looking for at least *4 more directors* to join our summer Duck Variations project!

Have you ever been curious about directing but weren't sure where to start? Have you directed before and want a fun, low-commitment creative challenge? This project is designed for exactly that.

Duck Variations by David Mamet is made up of 14 short scenes (or "variations"), each functioning as its own mini production. Every director will be assigned a variation, cast actors from a shared audition, and guide their piece from rehearsal to performance.

🎬 Directors of all experience levels are welcome.

Never directed before? That's okay!

A Directors Seminar will be held prior to auditions to help participants learn, ask questions, and prepare. The goal of this project is to explore the art of directing and creating theatre in a supportive environment.

✨ Fun
✨ Creative
✨ Collaborative
✨ Light-hearted
✨ No pressure

Directors will be responsible for scheduling rehearsals and coordinating rehearsal space, either in the Players Scene Shop or another location of their choosing.

πŸ“… Important Dates:
β€’ June 15 – Deadline to sign up as a director
β€’ June 16 – Directors Meeting & variation assignments
β€’ June 23 – Directors Seminar
β€’ June 30 – Auditions
β€’ July 17 – Performance

πŸ¦† About the Show:
The Duck Variations features two people sitting on a park bench discussing life, death, friendship, love, and ducksβ€”often with humorous and misguided authority. It's witty, thought-provoking, and a perfect playground for directors to experiment and learn.

Congratulations to the cast of Stag Light, and thank you to all who helped make this process so special. We can't wait to begin bringing this world premiere production to life this fall.

Available roles include characters ranging from their 30s through 70s, plus a flexible character who plays multiple roles.

This is a rare chance to help create the very first production of a brand-new play and leave your mark on a show before anyone else has performed it.

🎭 5 DAYS AWAY!

In just five days, Players de Noc’s Underground Double Feature takes the stage in the Bonifas Arts Center Studio.

A Matter of (Limited) Time, directed by Dahlia Hartman, explores identity and the weight of time through the eyes of young people navigating an uncertain future.

Live to Tell, directed by Randi Meunier, shines a light on the realities of human trafficking while celebrating resilience, courage, and the power of reclaiming your voice.

This is raw, honest, meaningful youth theatre--the kind of theatre that sparks conversation long after the lights go down.
