The Otaku Society

The Otaku Society The Otaku Society is an Anime Club located in Escanaba Michigan. Privately run by a local resident, Meetings will be held twice a week after Orientation Week.

The Otaku Society was founded several years ago by two local residents who wished to bring together the Anime Fans scattered about the small town of Escanaba and the surrounding area. After a good run of a year and a half, the place where the meetings were originally held was shut down. After that, there were a few meetings held in the Club President's home, but soon after, it died due to inactivi

ty. Now, several years later, the Club President has renewed their vigor and once again is waving the rally flag, calling all Otaku forth to come and revel in the amazing Anime Fandom! Orientation Week is August 11th through the 17th, and people wishing to join simply have to show up one day that week to 418 S 13th St in Escanaba Michigan, anytime between 7AM and 10PM.

Day six of Orientation is now over. We got one call-in member today. Tomorrow is the last day for Orientation. Please come before 2 PM seeing as it's also the last day of the Fair and the Secretary I'll be hitting up rides for most of the evening :P This has been a fun week, and I can't wait to see new faces tomorrow!

Different snacks will be served at different times of the day during Orientation Week. Keep an eye out here to see what's being served: Coffee, Juice Concoction, Regular Puffcorn, Peanut Butter Cups

For all who are curious as to what Orientation Week is about: This is a week for us to retrieve your schedules and plan accordingly of when we should hold meetings during a week. We'd also love to meet and talk individually with anyone interested in joining about their specific needs and interests for this club.
