Attention singers:
Biweekly summer rehearsals for Handel’s Messiah commence this Thursday, June 18th at St Joseph & St Patrick parish hall.
We performed this masterpiece in November 2024 and noted that it would be performed in even-numbered years. 2026 is a Messiah year!
The performance with orchestra: Sunday, November 22 in the spectacular acoustics of St Joseph & St Patrick’s.
The Orpheus Singers invite members of the community who have Messiah experience to join us. This year we will be adding several beloved arias and choruses, singing very nearly the entire book.
Starting June 18, rehearsals are every other Thursday. Attendance during the summer is flexible - singers have noted that this is a great way to become familiar with the choruses in a relaxed setting before things get scary in the fall!
Beginning in September, rehearsals move to every Monday. 6:30 in the parish hall of SJSP at 709 1st Avenue South.
