What an amazing weekend at !!!!! We took 22 dances for our last extra regional of the season. At this competition, our Absolutes competed all dances in Elite; this was the first time all teen groups have done this since the studio opened. So we are extremely proud of our girls and all the dancers that competed! Here is a small recap of the weekend.

Jr Elite Duos:

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Their sacrifice is the reason we are able to live, dream, dance, and celebrate the moments that matter most. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a reminder of courage, selflessness, and the heroes who will never be forgotten.

At Absolute Arts Dance Company, we are forever grateful to those who served and especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. ❤️🤍💙

We are so excited to start planning next season's teams! Auditions are tomorrow.

Wear: Solid black
Hair: Bun
Shoes: Jazz shoes or turners (Also, you will be required to turn barefoot—Absolutes).

Competition team info Audition Requirements:
LiL A (5-7)
-Working on single turn
- Grand jeté
- Chaînés turns
-At least 2 splits flat (3 preferred)
- Pivot turns
-Able to follow directions and simple combos

A-TEAM (8-12)
-Double turn
-Leap combination (2 different leaps connected together)
- Chaînés turns
- Piqué turns
-At least 2 splits flat (3 preferred)
-Leg hold

ABSOLUTES(13-up)
-Double turn (R & L)
-Leap combination (3 different leaps connected together)
-Tilt
-At least 2 splits flat (3 preferred)
-Leg hold
-Atitude turns
-Firebird jump

Elite Team:
-All above
-Turns in second
-Triple turn (R & L) - Barefoot and shoes
-Switch leap or switch tilt
-Connecting turn combination (4 or more turns)
