Erie Yesterday Erie Yesterday (EY) is a consortium of historical organizations of Erie County, PA.

The organization was created with the purpose to promote an awareness of the history, historic sites and museums of Erie County, provide a unified voice for the heritage community and provide a cooperative public relations program. The organization fulfills its purpose through a number of activities and projects. The DiscovERIE Passport project which gives 4th graders throughout the county the opp

ortunity to visit local museums free-of-charge, History Quest summer camp, and the Erie Yesterday brochure are examples of Erie Yesterday's collaborative efforts.

The museum building itself will be open from 9am until 1pm on Tuesday, June 9th.

PARKING & TRAFFIC INFORMATION
• Parking will be limited along Wall Street.
• NO parking will be permitted on Grahamville Street (SR 426).
• NO parking will be permitted on the south side of Clinton Street.
• South Pearl Street will be closed between Clinton Street and Eagle Street.
• There will be NO public parking at Fuller Hose Company #1. The parking lot will be reserved for municipal services and public safety personnel.
• All normal parking regulations will apply as posted throughout the Borough.
• Parking regulations will be strictly enforced to maintain open streets and ensure emergency vehicles can respond without delay.

The museum parking lot will be reserved for handicap parking only and is first-come, first-served. Once the museum lot has filled up, there will be street parking only.

REMEMBER: NOBODY WILL BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE TRACKS AT ANY TIME. VOLUNTEERS WILL BE POSTED AT ALL SECTIONS OF THE PROPERTY. VIOLATORS OF THE RULES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.

We just had over 70 sixth graders visit for a tour of the museum! They were so excited about our displays! Season opening in Friday, June 5th from 4:30-7:30. Many neat items to see and/or purchase!

It's officially late May and we could let pass without throwing a spotlight on this proclamation. The Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania recently signed this proclamation declaring May 2026 as Pennsylvania Historic Preservation Month. The proclamation encourages Pennsylvanians to provide their support in furthering the of the Commonwealth’s rich history & the historic places that tell their stories.
