Dear Dance Family,
It is with a heart full of gratitude, love, and many wonderful memories that I announce the closing of Miss Lucy’s Dance Studio.
When I opened the studio in 1978, I could never have imagined the incredible journey that would follow. What began as a love for dance grew into so much more than a studio. It became a second home, a place where friendships were formed, confidence was built, and generations of dancers learned, grew, and created memories together.
This was an incredibly difficult decision, but after much thought and reflection, it is one that must be made. Although the studio doors will close, the love, lessons, and memories created here will remain forever.
To every student who danced with us, thank you for your hard work, laughter, determination, and for allowing me to be part of your journey. Watching so many young dancers grow into confident and remarkable people has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
To the parents, grandparents, and families, thank you for your trust, support, patience, and dedication throughout the years. To every teacher, staff member, volunteer, and friend, thank you for helping make Miss Lucy’s Dance Studio such a special and welcoming place.
There have been countless lessons, recitals, friendships, proud moments, happy tears, sparkling costumes, and memories that I will always cherish. Dance has always been about more than steps. It teaches confidence, discipline, courage, creativity, and perseverance, and I hope every dancer carries those lessons with them wherever life leads.
Thank you for nearly five decades of music, movement, friendship, and love. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to be called “Miss Lucy.”
Keep dancing, keep dreaming, and always remember that you will forever be part of the Miss Lucy’s Dance Studio family.
With all my love and deepest gratitude,
Miss Lucy
