Have you taken Intro to Papermaking and found yourself wanting more time to play? Have you saved a years worth of dryer lint and just don’t know what to do with it? Love letters from your partner? How about your collection of insects? This workshop is for you.

Join me for a two-day deep dive into large sheet papermaking, where we’ll explore working with deckle boxes, traditional mould and deckle techniques as a creative medium. Together we’ll experiment with scale, color, texture, and embedded materials while learning how to form large sheets by hand from start to finish.
We’ll cover the entire papermaking process—pulling sheets, pigmenting pulp, couching, pressing, and drying (making this beginner friendly) while incorporating materials like plants, thread, fabric, collage elements, and other inclusions that create unique surfaces and stories within the paper.

Both days focus on demonstrations, techniques, and guided experimentation. On the second day, the studio becomes a playground. You’ll have dedicated time to explore your own ideas, test materials, and push the process further with support and feedback along the way.

This class is beginner-friendly, but it’s especially perfect for those who have fallen in love with papermaking and are ready to spend more time exploring what the material can do.
Open to teens and adults.
