The Erie Public Theatre seeks directors and producers to fill three slots for our 2024 season. We are accepting proposals for plays consistent with our mission, vision, core philosophies, and values. If you are interested in working with us, please click the link below.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, September 17.

Directors are responsible for setting the vision for the production for everyone involved. The director has the challenging task of bringing together the many complex pieces of a production—the script, actors, set, costuming, lighting and sound and music—into a unified whole.

Producers are generally responsible for budgeting, scheduling work, and coordinating the various production departments. They are ultimately responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production are completed within budget, according to the designer's and director's vision, and in time for the first public performance. They oversee the cost effectiveness and planning of the entire production process.
