Today has been a wonderful day! I finished not one, but TWO chalkwalk murals!

The second one was a last minute call to action by a second sponsor of the NWPA Innovation Beehive Network that needed a mural for the walk.

I definitely had fun with this year's art!

Quick facts:
Erie Philharmonic mural took 22 hrs from start to finish.
NWPA Innovation Beehive Network took 4 hrs from start to finish.

Favorite comment:
"Hold my Beer! I'm voting for this one!"

Favorite moment:
People sharing their military stories and shedding some tears while telling me about their past or their loved ones.

Favorite mural people:
Ileecia Monyahla and Bryan Toy

Have been hard at it since 8am this morning and still have much more to go. It's hot out here, but the creative spirit is flowing downtown! Honoring our military with this mural for Erie Philharmonic.

Come check it out in person at spot #5 and vote for your favorite mural!

Voting goes till 5pm on Sunday. (I'd honestly come today or Saturday since it's supposed to pour on Sunday.) Voting must occur within the festival grounds.

So come say hi, vote, and check out all the local delights on this 814 day!

Stopped for the night on my mural and I'll be back bright and early tomorrow to continue working on it.

If you go downtown to Celebrate Erie, look for my #5, Erie Philharmonic logo, and the purple canopy over my workspace to see how it progresses. I promise it only gets better over time! This is only the beginning!

Come chat, hang out, and listen to music, eat some food, and enjoy what Erie has to offer for the next couple of days!

It's starting!!!! Chalkwalk artists are here and we are beginning to create our murals on State Street in between 4th and 5th St. You should check it out!

I'm in spot #5 for those who are wanting to visit me while I work. It's a great time with music, food, and lots of local vendors.

This year the headliner is The Plain White T's playing on the mainstage Saturday night. Come have some good old fashion messy chalk fun with me downtown!

Super excited for my sponsor, the Erie Philharmonic, to provide me with shade to work on! It's a wonderful day!

Sometimes being an artist is a lot of hard, solitary work in a studio. Today was not part of that workload. Today, I spent the afternoon prepping with my good friend and fellow artist, Bryan Toy! We had a chalk grinding party to prep for one of our favorite local festivals, CelebrateErie, and their chalkwalk!

We will be creating 10'x12' chalk murals over the course of 3 days starting TOMORROW! Bryan will be painting his mural for Mazza Winery who so graciously supplied us with a bottle of wine to split while we prepped our supplies.

I will be painting mine for my favorite sponsor -the Erie Philharmonic! I have been a chalkwalk artist for almost 10 years now and it is by far my favorite way to end the summer.

Come see me work LIVE downtown starting after 3:30pm on Thursday till almost noon on Saturday. I'll be there during daylight hours only. While you're there, don't forget to vote for your favorite mural!

It's a figure drawing night! I am so inspired to create a new piece now! Beautiful model and wonderful fellow artists! I know there will be another figure piece on the horizon. Also warning, there is a little bit of nudity but it is tasteful with the depiction.

My rainbow umbrella and I have left the jazz and blues fest before the big storms come. It was a great time out enjoying the local musicians and just being where a different change of pace was. Definitely feeling very happy and fulfilled!

Doing some sketching while at the Erie Jazz and Blues Fest today. Met a so sweet young couple that was my inspiration for the sketch. I gave them the sketch after watching how adorable they are. Such a beautiful day for some talented local musicians and the outdoors to fill the artistic soul! Come on out and find me if you're in the area for a few hours!
