Wallowa Valley Community Ice Rink

To our skating community ~ due to a variety of factors there will not be a community ice rink in 2025/26 at Enterprise City Park. It may be possible for a new generation of leadership to build and maintain a rink in the Enterprise area in future years. The people who have taken the lead over the past 20+ years welcome serious inquiries from community members who might consider leading such an effort in the future, as we would be happy to pass on our knowledge. If this sounds like you, please share your contact info on this FB page, and you will be contacted. Please keep in mind that it would take significant funds to get it up and running again, as much of the equipment is in need of upgrading.

We have an abundant supply of former rental skates and want to make sure they find their way onto the ice this winter, even if it’s on your favorite frozen pond. We will post the date & time of a "skate give-away day" once we get it scheduled.

Hi folks - we are asking for your help with the ice rink! We are taking the rink down on Sat., April 12 starting at 9:00, and "many hands make light work" applies. Be prepared to do manual labor, get dirty, and amidst it all, have fun! Please bring your work gloves, and thanks for your support.

With this warmer, wet weather, it is very unlikely that the rink will be open again this season... But we are grateful that we had a season at all (about a month!), even if it was a late one! Thanks for all of your support!

We had to close the rink the afternoon of Mon., Feb. 17 due to soft ice conditions. Because we are expected to receive more wet, sloppy snow on Tues., Feb. 18, it will remain closed then. It is TBD when/if we can reopen; it's predicted to get quite warm later this week!

Well, the rink is "open," but buried under the same foot of snow that we all are... We'll start hacking away at it once we dig out ourselves, but it might be a few days... Feel free to get started! 😁

Well, the ice is frozen and the rink is open again! Two caveats though: the rink needs shoveling, and the skate shack is a DISASTER. Someone just decided to throw most of the skates in a pile on the floor. 🤦 We will do our best to get it cleaned up, but would appreciate any help. Thanks and enjoy the wintry weather!

We're going to keep the rink closed for a bit while it continues to snow & rain. Once the weather abates on Wed., we'll see how the ice is underneath, and we might need some help shoveling!

The ice rink is closed today, Jan. 31, as it is expected to be rainy today. Not sure when we will be able to re-open.

Hey folks! With this long stretch of dry, sunny days, the ice in the NE corner of the rink has essentially evaporated and the plastic liner is exposed there, so please stay out of that area with your skates. Thanks!
